Hi all,

What's the best site for finding a large collection of avatars in different categories? the allavatars site is really good, but all the avatars have the site's logo in the bottom right corner, and it annoys me because it spoils the avatars. What would you recommend?

I recommend using Google Image Search and simply resizing any image that appeals to you

I just found a place with TONS of images and animated images that can be used for avatars. When I go hunting for avatars at 'avatar' sites, its hard to find really great ones. So, I use animations instead and hope that they'll work here using 135x135 and 12kb. You can also reduce the animated image if it's too large to use as an avatar here or elsewhere.

This place has something for everyone. Sorehearted, they had lots of Disney and Micky Mouse animations.

Draco they had lots of animated Dragons and other things.

hel141, they even had Astronauts!

I found so many new really great animated images at this place. Spend some time there searching. Enjoy all.

There's sound (music) at this place so don't fly outta your skin when it starts!

Lapis your last avatar is so cool. What does it represent? Who's the girl?
Draco's one is not bad either ;)

Hi all,

Beth,

I found my old black and white tribal dragons avatar on Google images, but I'm really fussy, and it takes me ages and ages to find an image I like. Usually when I do the size isn't right and I'm not good with resizing and stuff (I'm not the most technical minded Virgo :( )

Lapis,

I love that new avatar of your's, you always come up with some really cool ones. Is that a Hindu goddess? Thanks for those links by the way, I'd prefer an animated one so I'll have a good look.

The avatars on 'allavatars' are actually really good, but that logo in the corner really bugs me. (fussy Virgo :? ) Also, I've noticed on that site, after you have clicked through the pages a few time, all the avatar pics disappear for some reason and you have to go back into the site to get them up again. Annoying!

Draco's one is not bad either

Cheers Radu.

Radu,

Isn't she hot! She shows up much better on a lighter background but she'll still hot. Yes I believe she's supposed to be one of the Hindu Goddesses but I'm not sure which one. Please remember that if you like one of them just right click it and 'save picture as'. We all could use a naked Hindu Fire Goddess every now and again!

Draco,

I'll have a look at the place you mentioned, "allavatars" and see if their logo bugs my Virgo side or not! I too prefer animated avatars because they're so interesting and fun. I found some astrological Blinkies at the site above. I think we'll still be able to add them into our posts maybe. They're a little bit bigger than what we can use for an avatar but I'll experiment and see what happens.

I did some back-tracking and found the place where I got the Hindu Goddess holding the 4 Fires. They've got some fun animations here too.
She is under the "Fantasy & Medieval" section. Enjoy. :)
