Nice sites and thanks Arian Maverick for setting it up! I also like this site as well some are astrology related, but the rest can be interesting as well.

It's Astropro's Website of the Week. You'll even find yearly archives of sites from 1996! Here it is:

http://www.astropro.com/wow-logs.html

and an old favorite that got me even more interested in astrology was

http://www.astrowin.org/index.php

They even have a matchmaking database now which is interesting.

:) Hello,

I'm moving Lyk's post of URL "Manic-Raven.com/astrology" (see below) from another board to this thread

Jupiter Square Northern Moon's Node:

Sometimes you fail to recognize opportunities or do not understand when you should take the initiative to do something. As you evade looking for the purpose behind unpleasant experiences, your general dissatisfaction with life does not let itself be ignored. All that is necessary is for you to change directions and recognize the signs of the times. Draw consequences out of your experiences and change your attitude or your philosophy of life.

Sometimes you force yourself to continue on with things that you know are not going to work out. There are times when you are convinced of things that are not confirmed by reality, which is why you should open up and try to meet people. Also more tolerance would be beneficial in your efforts to reach your goals.

Enjoy.

I have a site to add: www.thecosmicpath.com
It was originally co-founded, I believe, by Jan Spiller. She formed another and this is run by her ex-partner, Stephanie Azaria. She does the daily "weather", as she calls it. It is very informative, especially for beginners, and may be of special interest to those who look for the spiritual point of view on the day's aspects.

Does anyone know some interesting links about asteroids and the Arabic parts?
I've found several links about Chiron and the Part of Fortune, but not about all the other parts, points and asteroids.
And how they operate in certain houses and under certain aspects.

I have to agree with that, I just found a nice article he wrote about Libras (http://www.planetwaves.net/contents/what_libra.html). Refreshing change for the general Libra-hating atmosphere I've noticed certain astrologers to have.

Arian Maverick

Do you have to subscribe to planetwaves weekly to be able to read that article? It seems like clicking a link will lead to a subscription page..

Refreshing change for the general Libra-hating atmosphere I've noticed certain astrologers to have.

I'm Libran, and I don't particularly like some aspects of Libra either, especially the shallower aspects and preoccupation with looks. I think indecisiveness can be a bane at times, but when a decision is made, I don't budge an inch (I've heard lots of complains that librans are stubborn, and contradictory statements that they yield to please others). I think both are true, but a realisation of being pushed to do against their will for the benefit of another for lengthy periods will create a typhoon (injustice to themselves).

Of course no sign is perfect, but the way some astrologers seem to constantly pick up on Libran negative traits or make them up when they can't think of anything more is something that annoys me. Yes, some Libras have slightly narcistic and superficial tones, but the way this is over-emphasized is senseless. I don't see astrologers saying that all scorpios are horrible and mean people either, but when it's Libras they're talking about...

Also, even though I know several Libras I don't like too much, I seriously couldn't call them air-headed no matter how much I would want to, they're all quite intelligent (air signs...) and study in universities, even though they're exactly the persons who have those slightly superficial tones I already mentioned about. They're more the sort of people who think rationally, but lack emotions or at least seem to hide them. Luckily most of the Libras I know aren't like them, including myself.

And another thing that annoys me (yes I need to vent :D) is how Libras are said to be indecisive. We're indecisive only when we don't have all the necessary information to make a decision, as Libras don't want to rush into anything but consider everything carefully. This is why Libras are excellent decision-makers, they're fair and able to see all sides, and once Libra has made up his mind he won't easily change that (as you already mentioned). I've also heard complains about Libras being stubborn, as opposite to everything most astrology-books say.

I'll probably continue this in the thread that Arian Maverick posted. :D

I don't know if anyone has already mentioned this(my triple Aries placements don't have time to read the entire thread again to see if someone has already recommended this site LOL),but http://www.cosmitec-astrological-compatibility-advice.com/ is a very good one.The site is only about relationships, but let me say it has very good advice and mentions some very interesting techniques I wasn't aware of.The bad thing about it is that the whole website is like a giant labyrinth-each page you open has lots of links with interesting titles so you open link after link and eventually find yourself lost in a page that has nothing to do with what you were searching for LOL.I enthusiasthically recomment the section that has love quotes for each Sun/Moon combination. Also,it has lots of cool and FREE things for subscription.

Hope you enjoy it

One of my favorites, and I am not just trying to be kind, is this forums main sight Astrology Weekly. I really like the planetary aspects section.

Another sight is the DK foundations sight and there planets in the houses interpretations. I was amazed when I first read them how accurate they were, without even getting into planetary aspects, trines, squares, etc.. .

My favourite astrology site is: michaellutin.com
This is the former Vanity Fair columnist. He's got articles on huffingtonpost now too. As soon as you get on the site, you see the words "Where's the Moon?", something I ask myself at the breakfast table each morning! His daily astrological observation is pithy, sometimes outrageous, and always makes me reach for the ephemeris to find out what sky events he's addressing. I'm hooked and don't miss a day.
Lutin is up to his eyeballs in the Pluto change to Capricorn. He's addressing the National Press Club in a few days about that, and sundry topics. I'd give my eye teeth to be there, but will settle for hearing about the essentials soon after.

The sites I like are links to texts and reading materials on Astrology. I posted some in links below.

Anyone who is talking about planets, aspects, horoscopes, etc., regarding Natal or Mundane is practicing classical scientific, or Judicial Astrology. One of the major problems of our times is that most who profess to be giving any type of astrological advice is unaware that they are practicing judicial astrology.

I practice both Judicial & Natural Astrology, as I was trained since the age of 10. I forecast both advanced climate & weather, astronomic forecasting, for instance (natural astrology) as well as reading charts for clients, using secondary progressions, invented by judicial astrologers, and forecasting world events, trends, etc., via global transits, as is normal in mundane astrology, which is a sub-branch of Judicial Astrology.

There's a lot to learn about these areas, and plenty of materials and texts to read and study for those wanting to know more. Enjoy, and see ~

I notice this thread is a bit old and all present members may know of these sites already...but for the un-informed and the 'newbies'...
www.astro.com (http://www.astro.com) [Astrodienst] for a wonderful ephemeris and chart calculator

www.astrotheme.com (http://www.astrotheme.com) for a database of over 60,000 known persons and celebrities charts and analysis' calculated and compiled by the late Lois Rodden...she made her home Hollywood, Calif. and was known as the 'Astrologer of the movie stars' in her time...although I recommend utilizing her data and re-casting the chart using the Astrodienst chart calculator as most of her charts were done the 'old fashioned way' and I find Astrodienst so much more accurate.
...what a wonderful age we Astrologers live in now to be now able to do, literally, dozens of charts in an afternoon compared to just a couple as was the way before computers.

I've been receiving the DailyOm's horoscope by e-mail for a year or two now. I find it is consistently right on the money about the events I encounter that day. It is more of a reading of the energies vs. "you will meet a handsome stranger" type of horoscope.

They have a great site, with a vast library of on-line information about various spiritual subjects, as well. I highly recommend it.

Of course no sign is perfect, but the way some astrologers seem to constantly pick up on Libran negative traits or make them up when they can't think of anything more is something that annoys me.

Same with Scorpio. A lot of common astrology is stereotypical. There are many many more layers to it. :pouty:

Lots of well-written articles on these two sites. Of particular interest at C.U.R.A. is Dennis Rawlins' article sTARBABY reprinted from Fate Magazine, an inside account of PSICOP's embarrassingly inept and dishonest attempts to debunk the well-known Gauquelin "Mars effect" research. Rawlins, a skeptic of the paranormal, provides a damning account of the increasingly desperate attempts of the triumverate of philosopher Paul Kurtz, astronomer George Abell and statistician Marvin Zelen to discredit Gauquelin, showing that they were not so much interested in the truth of the matter as in protecting at all costs their "position" that astrology is superstitious nonsense.

For book reviews, I like Dave Roell's www.astroamerica.com (http://www.astroamerica.com). Although his ultimate goal is to sell books, he has a very impartial perspective and doesn't shy away from being sharply critical where it's justified. He also has some fairly exhaustive listings of the "best" books in the various branches of astrology. Worth looking at if you're buying.

Sorry this is more of a question but what is the best double sign (western and chinese) site that analyzes compatibility with other double signs? I find that just focusing on western or chinese astrology, without combining the two, doesn't really provide an accurate analysis.

On a side note, the best daily readings I've ever come across for accuracy are www.boothstars.com.

Astrology Scope is a 3D natal chart designed with Adobe Flash Player. The chart itself is fully interactive with a side menu to change house systems, location, time and date of birth. It's pretty nifty :joyful: Unfortunately, I prefer the Whole house system but Equal, Placidus, and Porphyry are the only options. I suppose the true value stems from the actual design and graphic interface than the information gained, which is very minimal to be honest. There is a "Solar System" tab at the top right of the screen. I always found the concept of "planets in signs" somewhat confusing especially when I read that Sagittarius can be seen in August when it is associated with late November and December :andy:...so this scope kinda clears it up. By targeting Earth and dragging the cursor to face other planets, you can view the constellations in the background. I'm a visual learner what can I say haha.
