Hi guys,

I've just started reading about Solar Arcs and want to know more. I am not quite sure where to start. I know about Noel Tyl's Book so will order it. But was just wondering if someone can help rectify my birth time? I have had 3 major relocations (in mid 1989, end of 1995 and then mid 2003) within Asia first, then to Europe and then to the sunny country Down Under. :)

Details: Born on 4th Jan, 1979, New Delhi India, 10:30 am.

Last year I had a progressed chart reading done, it showed my prog. MC conjunct Natal Mars (17 Cap), but according to astro.com prog. Mc is conjunct my Natal Sun (13 Cap), which one is correct? I used the above birthtime for both. I currently live in Melbourne, Australia, does that change the chart and MC by 3-4 degrees?

I hope to hear from someone soon!

Thank you

Rafaella

P.S. I'm very keen to learn whats going on in my love life and future career for next year, hope this can give me answers...:)

It would help to post your chart. It sounds like you read the thread on solar arc and rectification of birth time and relocation is a key in figuring out if birthtime is correct. From what we discussed, you would want to look at the date of the move or thereabouts and see what planets were solar arcing probably to the angles. It seems that solar arc Uranus is sometimes involved in a move if it arcs to an angle. In my case Pluto was solar arcing to the angles when I moved, others said Uranus. I wonder if it is connected to what it rules in the chart. Pluto rules 8th and is in 6th in mine so transformation? Since you have three big moved it should show up easily. The only program that I have been able to see solar arc clearly that is free and easily downloaded is astrowin. It has been helpful in calculating this. But Solar arcs move one degree per year and the whole chart essentially moves including the planets thus it is a little easier to spot something just by looking at the birth chart then calculating progressions. You can easily see from looking the the birth chart when a planet might hit an angle. So in my case the sun is at 22 degrees in the third and the IC is at 3 degrees cancer thus at age 11 something happened in my family or to my father that was significant. Pluto at 1 degree virgo in 6th and AC/DC at 6 degrees libra implies that at age 35 something big happened. Since the Angles are sensitive to birth time an inaccuracy will be more easilty spotted. Give it a try! We had some fun with it.

I have not been changing my progressions to location but I have not moved as far as you. Some things I have read say do it others not....again timing can be seen probably with that to some extent. Mars or sun to MC would indicate some internal change depending on house rulership. One degree in progressions can make all the difference as you know. Try solar arcs first, tweak it some then apply it to your progressions. Do time/event list to see what progressions link to what events....

Hi Cassanra,

Thank you for replying, As far as I can see the first couple of times when I relocated, my Natal Moon was involved (My moon rules 5th house and is located in 1st house natally). SA MC square natal Moon in 1989 (first relocation)

Solar Arc asc conjunct natal moon plus SA pluto Square Natal Jupiter (in 1995 during second relocation)

SA Neptune conjunct Natal Sun in 2003 (3rd relocation)

I feel there should be more activity in angles when I relocated but these where all I could see, I used astro.com. It has transits and progressions as well in the same chart in astro.com.
In regards to other major happenings, if I use my birthtime as 10:30 am, Venus (in 27 Scorpio) is about 18-19 degrees away from MC (16 Sag), so at about 19, I would have a major relationship starting then. But I didn't, my first major longterm relationship was at the end of my 20th year, very close to when I turned 21, so in the end of year 1999-beginning 2000. (Venus, rules my 8th house in natal chart, so it could be about sexual experiences as well ?Hmmm, it got me thinking. Don't want to write too much here about personal stuff). :p

Well here is my chart, I'll count degrees further on it. Uranus is not far away from MC either and it would describe the sudden events that happened last year, a lot of changes.

Thanks for your time!

Rafaella

P.S. what about retrograde planets? I have Saturn and Jupiter going retrograde in my natal chart, do I count them backwards and then forward when the planets moved direct, I mean at the same degree? Its confusing...

Solar arc planets only move forward like the sun. Venus might not necessarily be indicative of a relationship. Look to see what house venus rules too. When I married Pluto was arc the DC but then I was pregnant and Pluto rules the 8th. It should be a arc to the angles that have the signature of big events. The moon is good the moves I see. I am not sure astro.com shows the slowing of the sun. I think it does but that might account for some things being off.Look to your childhood too

Oops, had to run the daughter to school. I am on the run too but I just saw your post. Yes, venus at 19 but venus rules your 3rd and 8th so did something happen connected to these houses? If nada maybe the chart is a little off. You may need to tweeck it.

Your natal MC is 2' off Neptune, did someone disappear or pass away?
Age 7 MC conj Mercury, school, communications, lots of travel short distance perhaps?
MC conj Sun age 28ish in 11th house (Equal House) more pride, energy, groups, friendships, working for large organisations?

Age 7 SA uranus conj Venus 9th house sudden long distance travel perhaps?

You can also play about moving the Desc as well, but if your using house cusps remember to try Equal House.....

Thank you Astrologer!!

what you've said does make sense to me

Although not sure whether someone passed away at age 2 (regarding SA MC conjunct Neptune). But we had problems in my family growing up, so Mc conjunct Neptune could well mean problems and confusions within the family.

Age 7, SA Mc conjunct mercury - we moved a lot from one home to another, was more busy than other kids my age.

Venus conjunct Uranus at age 7 - the long distance travel was there, it wasn't sudden but what it led to was life changing. While I was in another country with one parent, the other parent had left us!!! Thats the Uranus here I suppose -sudden event.

Mc conjunct Sun at age 28 - well I do work for big organisation and I was awarded big time for job well done at age 28! This was last year.

What can you see happening next year?

My sun/moon midpoint is on 20aqu15, and I think will be activated by SA pluto soon by a square, so what can this mean for me? I'm not in a relationship right now, does this mean I'll meet someone and as it is pluto square sun/moon does it mean transformation of some sort in regards to relationships?

Thanks

Rafaella

This is where you use your other tools to see what it could mean or play out. So look to see if there is anything in your progressions of a similar theme of planets, houses etc and then pull up your solar chart and then look at transits to your natal....
and then log your events through the solar sun through the solar chart...
the clues will come together. No one said astrology was easy:) it is more like an archeological dig accept towards the future...difficult stuff.

I was wondering one thing about this - can someone enlighten me please
when you look for aspects of sa planets to angles, which is more felt in a life, regarding events - aspects of solar arc planets to natal angles, or aspects of natal planets to solar arc angles?

Personally I noticed the affects of SA planets to natal angles...they were the most obvious. I suspect that SA angles are less meaningful or significant...but I will keep checking on dates in the past to see if there is a correlation
