My progressed Sun just moved to Scorpio, and I was wondering what can I expect to happen?
I am seriously hoping for a more firm attitude, more strenght and passion in doing things, and since Libra and Scorpio are very much different, Libra being indecisive and mellow(my own experience) and Scorpios that I know are usually fanatics about stuff they found important and not passive at all, I wish for this change of signs to have some effect on me. but is it really valid to expect this, since Libra is my natal sun sign after all, and personal planets Mercury and Venus, along with Pluto and Saturn are in Libra still?
that's why I would like to hear other peoples experiences with this change - how did it affect you? Thanks

I think about progressions as adding more variety to your repertoire. Once a Libra, always a Libra; but now you will add to it some of Scorpio's passion, depth, and probing qualities. With Scorpio involved, you may also feel yourself "going underground" or being less outgoing. My AS progressed into Scorpio a while back; a time that related to deepening interests in metaphysical matters and withdrawing somewhat from a previously more active social life.

My Libra sun has also progressed to Scorpio I have sorta becpme even less sociable like waybread said as well as the deepening interest in the metaphysical. If anything it's subtle for me :)

How close are your personal planets to scorpio in your progressed chart? Do you have any natal planets in scorp? also, how powerful is pluto in your natal? I think that these 3 factors will influence how much the progression of your sun into scorp wil affect you. Why not put your natal up so that we can learn something here!

^ well, my natal Jupiter is in Scorpio, and Pluto is conj Saturn in Libra,
all those along with Venus approaching entering Scorpio, Sun was first tho.
I have attached both my natal and progressed charts
Venus conjuncting Pluto in progressed chart is making me really obsessive and fated-thinking about my relationships.
I have not felt any changes regarding other things in my life, but these love matters are sooo blown out of proportions now, I was always pretty rational and usually calm even when I was in love(Venus in Virgo), now I am complete opposite - very fixed and obsessed and unable to distance myself or think clearly. I would have to say this Venus Pluto conjunction is influencing this, but perhaps there is something else.
It is very hard being like this in fact - I put so much pressure on others with my demanding outbursts - definitely not a Libran trait:rolleyes:
as far as interests go, I was always very interested in spiritual, metaphysical things, and I still am;)

My progressed Sun has been in Scorpio for almost a year. My natal Sun is in late Virgo, conjunct Libran Mars and Pluto, all in the 8th house. My natal Moon and MC are in Scorpio. So it is only natural that I become a Scorpio at last :D

One new thing I noticed so far is that I can and should trust my gut feeling. It is even somewhat scary what I may discover. After a few years break I got into astrology again, and this time my experience it different. Before I collected information and tried to make sense of it. Now, even with the limited knowledge that I have, I am able to sort of tune in to a chart and come up with interpretations that are surprisingly correct. I am amazed not less and maybe more than the person whose chart I am looking at.

So we'll see where it takes me

I also think by now I got a good idea of what I want in life and over the last year or so grew very determined to get it.

With this transition, I hope to get more fixed energy in my otherwise very cardinal/mutable chart. I'd like to be more assertive, yield less and fight more too, but I am not sure it will happen. Not with Libra Mars, anyway. I will still spend my energy seeking harmony and being nice . I do think, however, that with planets progressing in Scorpio, Libra traits can be used in a Scorpio way - to influence, control, change, etc.

You certainly do have some major changes happening with your Saturn return just around the corner and your first moon return not far away either. This is going to be very interesting for you, coming out of the detatched air of Libra into deep emotional Scorp. As you said, your venus conj. pluto is a bit of a suprise, but the conjunction wont last too much longer, so you will settle down as a/ the conjunction seperates and b/ you adjust to the new energy(the effect comes on strong at first, then you adjust somewhat to the amplified part of your persona.) You also have your prog. I.C./sun conjunction in Scorp now, so this will also intensify the venus/pluto combo. Have a look at your prog. third house (wow!) , you sure must be feeling like a mental powerhouse with so much energy. Looking to your north node in the 12th in cancer should give you an area in which to direct that energy, that would probably relate to understanding your subconcious emotional input in order to move forward in your life, or if you stay with the south node then you may become a maid/butler/handyman/chauffeur all rolled into one!. The nodes have progressed to the 11th/5th houses, so you may have already turned from a workaholic (natal sixth house south node) into a hobbyaholic (south node prog. into the 5th house) . If you choose to follow the prog.n.node you can offer your spiritual /psychological understanding selflessly to a wider community or group of people (11th house) I would think that your prog. 3rd house would enable you to communicate very effectively, and with saturn return around the corner maybe it would be a good time to consider this direction (N.Node) with a view to acheiving something concrete as regards to your education. I'm guessing that your probably feeling emotionally down at the moment, with prog. moon in cap squareing 4 major points in your 3rd house, luckily the prog moon moves relatively fast, so before you know it you will be able to shake off the tension and feel a bit more "normal". Do these nodal interpretations fit your present lifestyle?

In my case. I progress from a Pisces to an Aries. I honestly think the progression has been happening since Age 9. Though Pluto-Trine-Sun has given the Pisces a bit more confidence then otherwise would've been the case. In fact, Pluto-Trine-Sun might've saved my life, given my mental inclusion from society. Indeed, I would have otherwise decided to end my misery.

:o heh, I've always been more deep&emotional than detached, I've got Cancer Asc to thank for thatm but true is I am now even more so, especially in the obsessive emotions department, not just cancerian weepy emotional like before, but also really intense and acting on them

yes, this could very well apply to me. I do have loads of mental energy and lots of interests right now amd about the nodes, I osciliate between the two, exploring unknows of my unconciouss and simply doing everyday stuff(being of service for others usually, cleaning, cooking, laundry, washing dishes, grocery shopping, being the unemployeed one in the house I cannot escape it :( )

somewhat yes, I have. But the natal SN position still reigns I think

yes, pretty much so, thanks for interpreting this for me, although I still identify more with 6th/12th Nodal axis, those have always been a battlefield as stated above

one more thing that I just noticed -this progressed Sun position exactly conjucts Venus Mars midpoint now  In solar arcs predictions, progressed planet conjuncting 2 other planets midpoint is always said to be important, but I can't connect how. With these planets involved I'd have to think integrating Animus/Anima or coming to a balance of male and female energies... just a guess, any ideas on this? I'd think it would be more of an inward thing then outside happening

Do you prefer the company of males or females, and did this change with the sun hitting the midpoint?

Just because you have someone else's experience about any aspect DOESN'T mean that that is what will happen to you. The first step in any analysis is to determine what are the most critical and significant parts of your natal chart. These would be the the power planets, power signs, power houses, and power aspects. These things are the shakers and movers in your chart. If you have a Sun that has no power at all, then when it moves into another sign, it will still not have any real impact. Secondly you have to decide whether you are looking at events or at psychological stuff. If its the psychological stuff, then study Noel Tyl. If its events that you expect to happen, then study traditional astrology. Unless you post your birth data, there is really nothing anyone can tell you about your experience. If astrology was that easy, anyone could do it. Zarathu

yes, I am aware of this, I was just wondering since Libra and Scorpio are very different signs in general. And Sun is always weak in Libra, since it's in a fall there, no? House position adds to it also, I know..
and I was mostly interested in psychological changes, and since some time passed since I posted this thread, I can add what I noticed so far

-definitely becoming very obsessed with everything, not that I ever was a superficial person to begin with, but I used to be more airy, more easily accepting of things, and not going into such depths about everything. Now... not so easy, I feel like a lunatic at times.
I did try to read Noel Tyl but it was somehow hard to grasp, I couldn't really understand much.
chart is in my sig ;)

Hermetic: My Ascendant is in late Virgo. It progressed into Libra when I was a child (anxious to please, involved in piano lessons, incurably romantic) and then progressed into Scorpio in my 30s. When my AS was in Libra I was quite sociable. In Scorpio, I suddenly need to "cocoon" at home more. Transitions of one sort or another to Scorpio can lead to one needing to be more private, or even secretive.

As to whether the sun is weaker in Libra, a lot depends upon whether one is a traditional or modern astrologer. The latter would note that many famous military generals had their sun in Libra! If not involved in the couple/partner aspect of Libra, a sun in Libra can be concerned with the arts/aesthetics, or with the principles of justice and fairness.
