Hi all! I was wondering if any of you has any experience with moving to an area that places Neptune on MC and/or places personal planets to the 12th house??
From what I know so far, relocating to such place would be wise if a native looks for solitude, spirituality, a place to retire, or a career in healing/arts. I also have a feeling a native (unless elderly) should be well equiped, with clear goals in mind and prepared for great sacrifices.
Any experiences?? I'd love to hear about them!
Any thoughts on how that would reflect on academic career? I remeber reading long time ago about 12th house being associated with academia, as a higher level of 9th house. Is that secondary interpretation of 12th house widely accepted?
*I realized I've been trying so hard to move to such area without looking at the relocation chart first. Still cannot decide if it would be way too risky...

Alright, this is bugging me quite a lot so I’ll chitchat, write my interpretations and welcome any thoughts! :)
Reason for relocation:
Career. BUT, I see my career as a way to constantly learn, teach, research, and devote to the development of my spirituality. In other words, my priorities are not financial gains and work/life balance, but rather working on what I truly care about.
The relocation chart:
Positive:
Neptune (10th) exact MC in Sagittarius. MC in Sagittarius is great for the kind of career I want
Neptune rules 1st: I’d readily take responsibilities, and ruler of 1st in 10th shows that person comes across as strong
Neptune conj MC: since my Neptune is not afflicted, I think this placement is good for career related to music, which fits my inclinations.
Ruler of 10th (and 9th) Jupiter in Libra, in 7th (well aspected): Good for relations with public
Negative(??):
I have concerns about Sun, Mercury, Venus (all in Aquarius) and Mars (Pisces) being shifted into 12th house. This should be good for introspection, working behind the scene and in large institutions such as universities. On the positive side, it could bring me closer to my 12th house NNode in natal.
1) depression issue
These 4 planets rule: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th…. This is where I’m getting lost with interpretation. Overall, my natal chart emphasizes Air and Fire so I’m worried having those 4 personal planets in 12th may cause loneliness, confusion or depression.
2) finances
I don’t feel like being very poor! :) Ruler of 2nd, Venus falls into 12th and opposes Moon in 6th. I am struggling on how to interpret this… I’d say it’s not all bad since they are both forming positive aspects with Jupiter/Saturn in Libra, 7th. Ruler of 6th, Sun, also falls in 12th!!
3) danger / accidents
And last, Uranus in 8th squares Sun, Mercury (and Mars with orb 8) in 12th. I’m not experienced enough to tell if this puts emphasis on danger, accidents, heart/respiratory problems and if it should really scare me.
Both relocation and natal charts are in my Images section. I'm trying to cover all aspects, but of course, I'm not expecting others to the same for me (this is lot of work)! However, I would greatly appreciate hearing any thoughts on any of the possibly negative points *1), *2), *3)... If any of those scream "Do not go there!!", knowing that would save me from lot of trouble!!
Thank you so much for any input!

The 12th House is an House of Endings. It's like a water sign only different. Having those planets there may expand your emotional maturity level.
2) finances
Ruler of 2nd, Venus falls into 12th and opposes Moon in 6th. I am struggling on how to interpret this.
When delineating aspects you look at:
1) Critical degrees
2) Signs
3) Dignities
4) Houses
5) Rulership
Oppositions can create awareness, balance, cooperation or conflict.
3) danger / accidents
And last, Uranus in 8th squares Sun, Mercury (and Mars with orb 8) in 12th.
The Mars/Uranus squares is:
1) Out of orb. Max orb 5° for major aspects (and still that's pushing it).
2) Mars is separating (or you can use the archiac quaint Middle Age Olde English Middle Earth stuffy hifalutin term "waning" if you prefer), so it doesn't matter.
Applying aspects in a natal chart are always your primary concern. Why? That should be obvious since the aspect will become exact by transit, progression and direction later.

Thank you Bob!! I'm getting closer to understand what is going on there. I need to make a decision in next couple of weeks, and since this relocation would mean leaving everything behind for the second time and going into unknown, I don't feel very adventurous.

I tried to delineate this Venus/Moon opposition step my step the way you suggested, and I can see clearly how it affects the emotional nature and a need for material security. However, I cannot make any justified conclusion about earning potential... Except that Venus in accidental exaltation in 12th with Taurus 2nd house shouldn't be a bad thing...
The Mars/Uranus squares is:
1) Out of orb. Max orb 5° for major aspects (and still that's pushing it).
Got it! And I finally see something that should have been obvious.
*Born on Sun/Merc DSC line, square Uranus in 4th.
*Currently live on Uranus DSC line square Sun/Merc in 10th. This doesn't sound very promissing to me.
Having this square in 8th/12th should be less stressful. So maybe I should just start packing and keep the faith :)

Let's walk through it.
The Moon is in an applying opposition to Venus.
1) Critical degrees:
Neither the Moon nor Venus fall at 8°, 9°, 21° or 22° Aquarius/Leo. It is not at a critical degree (which would be a very sensitive point in the chart).
2) Signs:
Venus in Aquarius and Moon in Leo are neutral. Neither is dignified, exalted, in detriment or fall.
3) Dignities:
Venus at 16° Aqu and the Moon at 13° Leo are both in the terms of Venus.
Venus is in the face of Mercury and the Moon in the face of Jupiter.
We note that Jupiter rules the 10th and the 1st, Mercury rules the 4th and the 7th.
4) Houses:
Both planets are in houses that oppose.
That sounds silly but you can have two planets in square but the houses they occupy are trine/sextile, not square. That happens often with intercepted signs/houses and out-of-sign aspects.
5) Rulership:
Venus rules the 2nd, the Moon the 5th.
When we look at the sum total what do we find?
Not conflict.
2 planets opposing each other in opposing houses in neutral signs, both in the terms of Venus and both in the face of planets that rule all 4 angles.
That's indicative of cooperation or balance.
I don't think your earning potential will be high, but you won't be living in poverty either, and whatever it is, you'll be able to deal with it, although at times you might find it frustrating.
Your progressed Ascendant should be in your 2nd House. When it changes signs to Libra, which Venus rules, you should be okay.
Got it! And I finally see something that should have been obvious.

*Currently live on Uranus DSC line square Sun/Merc in 10th. This doesn't sound very promissing to me.

Uranus is natally in your 4th, so you would move until you found a secure spot, at least that would always be your inclination.
