View Full Version : Astrology and Auras

While I sitting through mass today, the strangest idea flitted into my mind...do you suppose that an emphasis on a particular element in a person's natal chart may influence the color of their aura? I ask this because I have experimented with seeing auras in the past, and although I did not achieve overwhelming success, I was able to see a hint of color extending a few centimeters away from the contours of my hand. Yet although I have a preponderance of fire in my natal chart, the color I saw was not red...it was turquoise. I most likely have bursts of red/orange elsewhere in my aura, but I am curious as to why this does not form the base color, so to speak. Is there any correlation between astrology and auras?

This is the first time I hear that auras can be seen. Interesting.

Do you think you could provide me with some links or material on how to do that?

Thanks.

Sure thing, if I can sort through my Favorite Places list and find some relevant links...ah, here we go!

How to see and READ the AURA (http://www.thiaoouba.com/seeau.htm)

100 Aura Links (http://www.mysteries-megasite.com/main/bigsearch/aura.html)

About.com Articles and Resources (http://healing.about.com/od/auracolors/)

EDIT: This is a bit embarassing to admit, but I didn't learn how to see bits of my aura from any of these sites. Years ago, there was a short article one of those teen magazine websites (I forget which one) that featured an aura specialist who read Hilary Duff's aura and gave very simple directions how to do your own reading. I was skeptical at first but decided to give it a go; I took off my glasses, held up my hand against a white background, and splayed my fingers so there was ample space between them. Next, I imagined a dot floating between my thumb and forefinger and relaxed my gaze, trying to not to glance directly at the blurred outline of my hand. I was absolutely amazed when, a few seconds lately, a lovely shade of turquoise emanated around my fingers, so much so that I lost my focus and had to begin again.

I hope the links I provided and these simple directions help you perceive your own aura

I glanced around that first link a bit.

I'm not dismissing the idea altogther, but what the author is describing sounds like tricks the eyes can play on you, like a visual illusion or something. I'll continue to research the subject though.

In your experience, did you find any truth in these methods or were there some uncertainty involved? Did you try more than the hand thing? Did you see different shades of auras around different people in the same place?

Nice thread AriMav :D

I always saw auras as a child only I didn't know what they were or that not many people could see them. I stopped when I was about 13 - they got too confusing and I couldn't concentrate on what people were saying. So I started to ignore them. I didn't see another for years, until last year. No where near as good as they used to be (isn't everything  ), but they're coming back. This time, they started around cars on the motorway, a bit disconcerting I thought I was going blind, I had completely forgotten about auras. I see people's now, too. Often not more than the basic aura of silver/grey close to the body, but if I really concentrate and relax i see colours and shapes. Its a nice way to pass the time when in a meeting and you don't want to be there! A row of people in front and the ones paying attention have a different colour to those gazing out of the window. Even the ones who are listeneing have different shapes as well as colours. I am nowhere near identifying what the colours and shapes mean, yet. It's just nice (or comforting) to be able to see them again. :)

I'll keep practicing.

take care

Great post, hel! :D

I never claimed that I was an aura expert...yes, I did try more than the hand exercise and was able to extend the color around my entire arm, but I was never able to stare at someone long enough to see their aura without arousing suspicion

I relate to that - i usually reply "where were you - I didn't see you - I wasn't looking at anything!" :D Doesn't go well with the so-called professional image we have to cultivate  Then, I'm hardly normal Heh heh!

i usual try with pople who are in front of me, i'm looking forward as they are. I 've just realised that this is probably highly unethical. I wonder how to get around that? Inanimate objects have auras, too. Especially the dead live ones. :? (Things that were once living.) Electrical objects are easy to see - how they distort the surrounding energy fields. No wonder we feel so crazy around them!!

How did you manage to see your arm? I've never been able to see my own - well not quite tru - I did see with the help of a mirror - didn't like what I saw - too spikey!

Must dash - catch you later

I'm not sure...I was dong the exercise with perceiving the aura around my hand, and I was able to extend my vision so that it covered my arm as well!

I've never been able to see my own - well not quite tru - I did see with the help of a mirror - didn't like what I saw - too spikey!

This is pretty funny, because I've only managed to see my own aura! Sometimes I think I saw something white around inanimate objects, but I've never seen any color...unless only the auras of living things have color? :?
