Same planet is significater of the quierent and the topic

Can anyone tell me what to do when the same planet is ruler of the ascendant and also the significator of the qhestion asked. This has happened recently a number of times. Mostly Mercury but also mars and venus too.. I took it as a positive as it seems to be better than a good aspect.
