If you have a Leo moon, for example, but it's in the eleventh house, what does this do for your character? Does it create conflict or do you get both sides of the stick in a helpful way? What happens if this is a recurring theme in your chart?

These are the things I would think of with a Leo Moon in the 11th:

Leo Moon loves being the center of attention. So, in the 11th, it could show that one has an unhealthy emotional drive to be "on-stage" (11th rules the audience). It could also show that there is a need to be "on-stage" (5th house), but one is refusing to let their light shine, and blending into the crowd. (11th). I think alot would depend on the aspects to the Moon, as to which way you would interpret it.

Also, you have the usual "working with children", and creative abilities that are emphasized with Leo/Aq, 5/11 houses. It could also possibly refer to a desire for adoption of children. (11th rules "other people's children")

Speaking of helpful, I hope that was of some way...

I have several planets whose sign and house position are opposites, and the principle of "Planet = What + Sign = How + House = Where" seems to apply in all cases. So, my Moon in Cancer/10th made me care about staff welfare in my career - Pluto in Leo/11th made me a manager who saw his role as empowering team members to be creative - Mars in Sagittarius/3rd makes me actively communicate about perceived injustices - and so on.

However, a problem does arise in having the North Node in Taurus/8th and South Node in Scorpio/2nd - where my "Soul purpose" appears to be about balancing these two conflicting aims, rather than achieving those of the NN and relying less upon those of the SN. It's as though I've learned the lessons of both, and now need to understand how they work together.

I have all my planets in opposite signs and houses, except that I am Virgo Ascendant....With Sun in Leo in 11th and Moon in Aries in the 7th....I have The Taurus North Node in the 8th and Scorpio South Node in the Second...It could be about balancing the two energies out, but I'm not even really sure of what they mean!! Whenever I look up info about it, they say it has to do with finances and other's finances, and being independent from others', which I have dealt with, but I think it is much deeper than that!!

I'm fairly sure now that for me NN in Taurus/8th is about learning to trust and respect the values of others in the same way I do my own (SN in Scorpio).

But, I like these words from Martin Schulman on this NN/SN placement :-

"....the individual is so frightened by the (karmic) memory of having the rug pulled constantly from under his feet that he develops a defensive attitude to all who offer him regenerative advice.........He will make much growth when he is able to see the actions of others as reflections of his own subconscious.....(and) his karma is to overcome the extreme possessiveness of his past incarnations."

That's pretty good!! I definitely identify with that, and the "actions of others as reflections of his own subconscious" is something I have just started exploring....I think that's pretty wild, yes?!

I think Britney Spears has the same thing. I read a post once stating that all her planets in signs are in opposite houses, Libra planets in the first, Moon in Aquarius in Leo's house, Neptune in Sagittarius in Gemini's house etc. I have Jupiter in Leo in the 11th house, and the 11th house is an important house for me. I started off in forums and then eventually left and pursued astrology blogging. Jupiter looking for the next big thing etc . Gallops away...I guess the group will notice the sunny side of your personality, warmth and generosity, and need to be noticed (depending on aspects to Moon) and other chart factors. You may need a social network or group to express yourself, some with Moon in 11th house have women friends - it can manifest in many ways.

Leo Moon in the 11th can mean attraction to theatre groups, friends with dramatic kind of women.

The 11th is love received and also stepchildren. So this may be an option that you are mother to foster or stepchildren......

Not all Libra Risings have their planets in opposite houses. Bill Clinton another Libra Rising like Britney Spears has a stellium of Libra planets in his Aries house (1st) Moon in Taurus is in the Scorpio house (8th), Uranus in Gemini is in the Sagittarius house (9th) Saturn in Leo breaks the chain and is in Capricorn's house with Mercury in Leo there too (10th), it is true that for most Libra risings some of their planets will fall in opposite houses. They will tend to polarize and seek balance all the more.

Yea, I didn't mean all as in ALLLL... but in a general sense, lol.

I like what you said...
"They will tend to polarize and seek balance all the more."
that makes a lot of sense, and explains libra perfectly.

You did mean all (only joking), as a Virgo Rising my planets are in inconjunct houses, don't know what that means either :whistling:. If we want to get super picky you could do this with planets - My Saturn is in Aries house (control of the will) but Capricorn and Aries square :crying:. My Pluto is in the Taurus house (Scorpio and Taurus oppose:crying:) My Uranus is in Gemini's house and Gemini and Aquarius trine . Neptune is in the 4th house and Cancer and Pisces trine . Mars is in the 6th house and Virgo and Aries inconjunct :crying:. Sun is in Libra's house (sextile) although the Sun isn't supposed to be powerful in the 7th house or Libra. Mercury in Air house good but in watery Pisces :crying:. We all have different combinations of planets in sign/houses/aspects it is just different modes of expression nothing too big.

You could get dizzy with all this.

My feeling is that is does not matter and is an incidental observation.
Leo Moon in the 5th house may get emotional strokes when they shine in social groups of with colleagues. Also goals & ambition is also relevant to the 11th so the Leo moon may feel emotionally secure when their goals & ambitions are going well.
On the other hand Leo moon in the 5th may find that childhood issues with the mother )or women in the family even ) may get played out in social groups in with colleagues at work when the person tries to achieve their goals & ambitions.
How is plays out will vary depending what is going on but can also depend how the moon is aspected

As far as dignities are concerned the moon might have some issues played in Leo tho. Its a big call for the 2year old part of ourselves to take on the inner lion energy which is why I think Moon in Leo is in it fall? Moon in Leo can be generous to friends and family but under stress she might be a bit of a diva sometimes.

Also the moon is 'the' most restless planet and Leo has an awful lot of pride and sometims arrogance, and quite capable of throwin their toys of the pram, which may well be cause problems with friends or in groups. Whilst their is an emotional need for friendships, groups etc for nurturance you may find that you end up 'mothering' these people in a rather bossy oraganised manner, take control and organise everyone. Not taking into account the moons aspects of course....
