Hi All,

It has been some time since I last posted a thread, so I thought I would share with you my recent observations of my progressed chart, as well as a few general thoughts on progressed luminaries in the eight house. Looking at my progressed chart the other day, I noticed that the eight house is fairly accentuated by the entrance of the progressed Sun, Moon and Jupiter into it.

Generally speaking, this would go to show that eight-house matters (like taxation/legal issues, shared resources, occult & metaphysics, dealing with the darker & deeper issues of the self & life, partnerships etc) would take precedence in the times to come. Just thinking out loud, with both progressed luminaries (conscious & sub-conscious personalities) in the eight, others might, in some way, either 'control' the native, or vice versa, though the first would seem more probable. It is said that the Moon's progression into the eight pose some of the 'heaviest' years of its 28-yr cycle.

In the (attached) chart, the progressed Sun & Moon are conjunct natal Jupiter in eight, so this could indicate a favourable outcome, esp as they do not tend to form any challenging aspects to any natal planets from their current position. Both are Piscean in nature now, and as Moon rules the natal twelfth, spirituality could enhance, in fact, is enhancing my life. Both luminaries conjunct natal Jupiter could also mean enhanced awareness of the self- esp the emotional self, perhaps triggered off by one's dealings with others (eight=others). They also sextile natal MC, so maybe indicating some positive development/experiences having to do with career/general rise in life. Prog Jupiter is already at 28°, so its conjunction to natal Jupiter is 8° wide, so don't think we can use that.

Ok, I will leave it at this for now. I am hoping to read through your experiences, general thoughts & views related to the topic, perhaps also on the attached chart.

Thank you,
:)aquarius7000

We have missed your threads... But you are so considerate and consistent with your response posts to others. We ALL thank you!!!

With Leo on the Ascendant... you in relationships... as well as your luminaries... often the male/female representation... naturally progressing from the 7th to the 8th, I would think that some sort of serious relationship, professional, platonic or both, has an opportunity to transform through expansion and go to the next level by getting deeper and more connected. Being in the 8th, intuitively you would know what this is. This is excellent because the 'urge to merge' is strong when the luminaries conjunct in the 8th; and with the planets being in Pisces, it is at a very deep, soul level.

With the Moon ruling the 12th and in Pisces, in addition to your natural Aquarian penchant for privacy, this situation may also be a secret or have a link to past that proves troublesome or isolating. It will probably involve you helping someone in need, them helping you, or both. With Jupiter ruling the 5th and 8th, they may be foreign, religious/spiritual, creative, artists, musicians, well-educated, rich, etc...

Possible scenarios... You could have already met a guru and decided to delve deeper into studies and the lifestyle; or you could have met a significant other and decided to have a child. There will probably be more than one avenue of manifestation, albeit with the same themes.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Minnee, very sweet of you.:)

I also enjoyed reading your post, and seeing things from the angle you put them in. Somehow my natal Cap Moon, and perhaps also the prog Moon in the eight, in Pisces, sort of made me automatically look more at the unpleasant side of the eight house (in relation to the prog planets), but you pointed out some fairly neutral, even positive aspects related to Jupiter, for eg.

Yes Jupiter in it's ruling sign is very powerful and beneficial and can definitely make the best of any aspect it touches!

I recently had my progressed Sun conjunct my natal Sun Pluto {similar, but different theme} in the 11th {sans beneficial Jupiter and still all was well} and I had a baby via c-section with a new specialist doctor and hospital under semi-emergency conditions. But, all's well that ends well and my daughter is thriving and I have started a whole new chapter in my life. I also had to cut off my old life to obtain the new one.

So, progressed Sun/Moon always emphasizes new beginnings with strong foundations... adding Jupiter in Pisces... beginnings are beneficial and expansive; and in the 8th house, they are transformative and on someone else's dime. That sounds lucky and extremely fortunate!

My progressed moon has just entered leo and is in the eighth house. Squares my natal venus. Im interested in this.

"It is said that the Moon's progression into the eight pose some of the 'heaviest' years of its 28-yr cycle. " As Aquarius7000 says here.

My progressive rising sign is sag and jupiter is in sixth hs gem, but not yet opposing. Sun and merc are conj in seventh house cancer. The house position has been the same for years but the sun has entered a new sign recently.

Venus has just passed DC and is in gemini.

Gwen,

How is your progressed Moon in the eight panning out; are there any marked changes that are 'eight house' sorts in nature? Look also at the aspects it is making to the natal planets.

In my case, I do feel that I get into a self-withdrawal mode fairly easily now, though this perhaps has more to do with my prog Moon being a Piscean one, and ruling the Piscean house- 12th natally. I can also say that my interest in the metaphysical side of this universe, as well as spirituality in general is on the rise.

Hi,

talk about withdrawal, even though my progressive moon has entered leo. It is squaring natal venus and trine natal jup & nep. The progressive moon will be opposing natal mars and sextile natal uranus soon.

I have these venus-moon things now, like solar return moon opposition natal venus. I have an empty natal 8H, ruler is gemini. I cannot help thinking that as my progressive moon entered leo it was conjunct another persons moon! I am more sensitive these days - probably more than ever. The coming prog.moon - mars opposition is supposed to mean irritability and impatience. But I feel it already:confused:

I think I just realised Im into a period of enrmous change....

I have had my Sun progressing through 8th house. My partner's income has increased. I have for a long time been delving into the deeper aspects of life my P.Sun must have trined my Jupiter about 8 years ago, I must have been about 21-22 I was in an abusive relationship still at this time, I will have to check the dates on these progressions I can't remember what I was feeling at this this time. Progressions often suggests more of an inner change, transits can materialize physically. I am not looking forward to my P.Sun opposed Pluto - power struggles or some other change and transformation may be taking place, I will be nearly 40 by then. I haven't looked at my progressions for a while, but I knew my p. Moon was in 9th I could feel it. I spent late nights watching philosophy talks on you tube, thinking deeply on the meaning of life :D . I got a lot of money paid to me a couple of weeks ago it might have been T. Jupiter on Venus every time I have these type of aspects I always get money. Good Karma lol, I will probably fall down the stairs in the minute, it always happens when I am full of myself. Now I am wondering what will happen when my P.Moon gets to Taurus still in the 9th opposed Uranus in Scorpio 3rd. More Astrology.... perhaps/the learning axis. I will wait and see. Although being an opposition something unexpected is going to happen, I might meet a guru who will show me the light (joking) I will probably be restless emotionally needing change, I don't know. I have gone off topic. Get a rich husband for your progressed 8th house Sun ;) .

my progressed moon (gemini) has just entered 8th house. (natally its in the 9th.) i am now looking to go to an astrology school, and take some occult courses. im naturally drawn to 8th house stuff anyway, but now i find myself REALLY wanting to get to "the bottom," and find the "root" of certain things. im starting to get more curious about the meaning of dreams, hypnotism etc. even though the 8th house moon progression can be "heavy," or "Deep and dark" i think that we may also have the ability to find the root of our deepest "inner makeup". (if that made sense, lo)

Hi,

I was just going through this book, Mapping Your Future by Kris Riske, and it says that very often there can be movement of money involved, for e.g. if the rulers of 10th/6th houses are aspected by the 8th-house progressed planets, there could be a considerable or an unexpected salary increase. If the planet ruling the 5th-house is aspected, then a win could come in through gambling/lottery. Of course, there would be transits, etc acting in the background. Involvement of planets such as Venus (natural ruler of 2nd) or Mars/Pluto (natural 8th-house ruler) could also be helpful, for eg, Pluto could involve a big sum of money. Looking at my chart (attached), Jupiter rules both 2nd and 8th houses, and is itself placed early in the natal 8th house and is now conj prog Sun and Moon. In fact, tr-Pluto is in my 5th house and Jupiter will be exiting the 5th by the end of this year. Maybe I shoud play the lotto with so much of 5th and 8th-house activity on.:D However, tr-Sat has also just arrived at the cusp of my 2nd house to warn me:rolleyes:.

Hello,

Speaking about planets progressed into the eight house (incl Sun & Moon), this morning I learned that my (paternal) grandmum passed away rather suddenly, which was a bit of a shock because she was not ailing or anything, except for the usual old-age challenges. Much as we might like to think that death is a part of life, yet it does trouble one to, in 'reality', swallow the fact that it is something so permanent, a point of 'no return'. I hope you don't mind my sharing this with you.

Anyways, though the pr-planets don't make any really challenging aspects to the natal ones, the entry of Sun & Moon in the eight does show that matters of the eight house are now in the foreground. I also currently have, besides the Sun & Merc, Mars transiting my 4th house and conj natal Nep & Nnode. Also, tr-Uranus is at the doorstep of the 8th house.

Also checked my solar return '08, which shows BML conjunct IC, rx-Sat over my natal 1st, and Jup- which activated natal 5th house Moon's & Mars' squares to natal Pluto and oppositions to natal Saturn - through its conj to both the planets (Mo & Ma). Mars/Plu rule my natal 4th. Though we are on the progressions' board, I thought it important to mention the solar-return part of it, as all these factors go together while considering such issues. I will attach my SR '08 chart herewith, as some of us understand things better through visuals.

Sorry to hear about your paternal grandmother Aquarius, yes death is that irreversible change of the 8th. When I have been through a similar experience as you Aquarius I remember thinking how shallow all my other worries were compared to what I was facing when a loved one dies. It reminds you how fragile life really is and how you need to live your life fully as you never really know when it will be your time to leave. I hope you are coping o.k.

Attach some charts Aquarius you can't overload this Pisces with too much data, I need some visuals. Thanks for sharing your personal experience with us, it really helps to understand astrology and how it effects our real lives, kinds of pulls us out of being too intellectual and theoretical and brings in real experiences.

Thank you for your kind words, Ray.

Yes, death of a dear one makes life's purpose and its essence more clear.

Btw, charts, both progressions and solar return, are attached to my earlier posts already.

Peace
