13 Degrees Leo and Bin Laden

This point keeps coming up lately in charts I do. Every person, with this a planet on this point has some fascination with Osama Bin Laden.

John McCain has Mars here. Barak Obama has Sun here. See link below to fixed star Kochab, 13Leo19.

Allen wrote this in 1963 from the work of Stechert in 1899. The Pamir is a mountain range bordering Afganistan, Pakistan, Russia and India.

I have been researching this degree the last few days because its the 'activation'
point for my yod
In a few weeks the south node will conjunct it i believe

I first came across thi about 6 weeks ago doing a chart for a guy on the street who's been on methadone for 30 years, kept raving on about JC and Osama. When I found this link doing his chart, I had psychic connection. It physically knocked me out for about 12 hours. The next day on the news I heard they had tried bombing him but he had apparently just moved on.

I don't know about fascinations with Bin Laden.... but I have been monitoring this degree for about a year now, noticing what comes up in my life as each planet crosses this degree. So, naturally this degree caught my eye.

I've also made the remark several times lately, "I've never had any interest in Presidential elections before. But, for some reason, I'm really interested in this one - between Obama and McCain"-( almost becoming a "fascination" with it.)

I guess your statement explains it:

My natal Vertex is 13'33" Leo in 8th. The Sun rules my 8th, so maybe that's why I'm for Obama?:rolleyes:

I have the Vertex here at 12 Leo 54. Saturn transiting this point by conjunction has resulted in the expected "fated encounter" (and consummation that followed) but it seems most significant in synastry. I can't say, however, that I have been fascinated by Bin Laden, no more than the average American at least.

Right now the transiting south node is at 17 Leo and north node is opposite at 17 aqua....it moves backwards through the signs, so it will be at 13 Leo Nov 2-13

I did a free Astrolabe online search of my birth chart, and it indicates that my Sun is in 13 degrees of Leo. I don't have any particular interest in Bin Laden or John McCain, but I do support Obama. It is probably obvious that I don't know much about astrology. Is there any significance for me personally because my Sun is in 13 degrees of Leo? Are the free online charts like the one from Astrolabe reliable? Thank you for your replies.

I dont have anything on 13 Leo.. But my Merc/Moon is at 14Leo my Sun at 16Leo...

Im not so much fascinated with Osama Bin Laden.. I do have strong opinions (as most people do)

I think the world has made him an icon for terrorists. Everyone knows him, and remembers him.. He will be in Us history books.. I think thats exactly what he wanted... He wanted to be known for the man that attacked the US.. He got his way...
That really bothers me, that he's getting what he wants.. He should be faceless/nameless.. Only yes I know its part of history and goes along with the story.. The sad thing is none of the victims will be in the history books.. Only a "number of people" will show.. The victims are faceless and nameless.. As he should be..
I do know there are to many victims to name... and thats horrible in its self..
