I also have lots of "stuff" in my 4th house. Saturn in 4th house is not the easiest placement, I don't know about you but I've certainly had to deal with that and those problems, though I have my Saturn in Scorpio which might change the situation. I also noticed that you have Moon in Cancer (Moon and Cancer rule the 4th house) and also Cancer rising AND true node in Cancer. Home is quite certainly something that will be important to you in this life in a way or another, but since I don't have any Cancer on my chart and I'm not an expert when it comes to astrology I'll leave the more detailed interpretation to someone who knows more about it. :)

hmm, yea Ive read about saturns effect on the fourth house and I must say it is accurate. Growing up, I often felt "misunderstood" by my parents, I think its the cultural difference (my parents are from Bangladesh, whereas I was born and raised in NY). My parents, as most traditional Bangladeshi parents, were very strict and I had many quarrels with them because of their restrictions-and it makes sense, since Saturn is the planet of restriction. As I've gotten older, they have definitely eased up and maybe the Libra aspect of Saturn kicked in (I've found a happy medium w/my parents), but I still have these intense fights w/my mom from time to time that make me feel like I'm 13 again!! Its funny and ironic that there is such an emphasis on the fourth house, as well as the Cancer rising and Cancer moon in my chart because I am such a homebody. I feel most comfortable in my home. I think my parents heavily influence me, to this day. But yea..thank you for your input.
Ihatelawschool, hi.
I'm just a beginner astrologer, but I've read that the fourth house gets balanced with its opposite in the tenth, which is your upcoming career. I think your Pluto/Saturn in Libra definately would make for a good lawyer. Transforming Pluto/Structuring Saturn Equality and Balance Libra. And with Jupiter and Mars in Scorpio I wouldn't want to fight with you. Maybe your earlier experiences with your mother were preparing you for the opposition you will recieve and negotiate yourself through in the courtroom. Replaying defenses and strategies you learned to use in your personal struggle to rid yourself of oppressive elements to help others get the justice they deserve. Perhaps your fourth house issues were giving you a good idea of what you have to work with in a battle, telling you how you fight and how you win and where your weaknesses are. I'd expect these elements to play out again in other arenas.
Just a thought. What do you think about this?

law,
Since you were born at 4:30 AM, not 3:30 AM (per this post - http://astrologyweekly.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1254 ), I will ignore the chart you have provided and create a chart for 4:30 AM.
Using this correct chart, your planetary energy in the 4th house (home, also emotions) shifts over so it is partly conjunct (energy is combined with) your Nadir (inner world). This indicates you are strongly drawn to focus on your inner world. In addition, since most of your planets are at the bottom of your chart you naturally focus more on your inner world than the outer world. Even with this shift, you have more planets in the 4th house (home, also emotions) than in anywhere else in the chart, indicating that you have a STRONG emotional focus.
Guessing,
Tim

I edited my chart and put up the new chart. Thanks for all of your feedback!! you guys are so nice =) I think that I do have a tendency to quarrel, but I limit it, but it was an active effort on my part to not be so argumentative and brash. When most people meet me, I get the sense that they think Im a pushover, but sometimes, all of the sudden, I get so aggresive-its like I cant even control it! haha my mom even says it today-"you will be a great lawyer considering how much you argued w/me!" I know that my cancer moon has affected me alot. I'm still not sure if Leo ascendant totally fits me because I am quiet when you first meet me, but after an hr or two of talking to me, I open up, but the stars dont lie.

"Replaying defenses and strategies you learned to use in your personal struggle to rid yourself of oppressive elements to help others get the justice they deserve." haha thats sooo true Sita! I havent really used this in the legal arena, since I am still a law student, but I know I did this alot w/my ex boyrfriend. He always used to say "whenever you are mad at me, you would tell me what I did wrong in essay format-intro, body, conclusion" and its true, when I do get mad or have to argue, I always have to think it out before I tell them why or what made me mad. I guess its my inner lawyer? Where do you guys go to learn about conjuncts in birth charts so I can give feedback to your posts?

Hi Law,
I am assuming from your name that you are in law school and not having a particularly enjoyable time in it. If this is true, I can see in your chart where in your chart this might be coming from.
First off, your ASC and 1st house Sun in Leo tells me you can be a very strong in yourself woman. Or, as some might say, an uppity b*tch who doesn't know her place. You know who you are and you are not afraid to express who you are.
Your ASC is trined with your 5th house Sag Uranus, which can help you see creative, honest and honoring ways of providing justice to others. You are able to see a much bigger picture in a legal sense than some of your classmates and professors, and you may have no qualms in expressing those "rebel" instincts via your Leonine magnatism. The thing is, your classmates and instructors may see it more as "childish" Leonine egoism and bravo, especially when you may try to rip off their rose-colored glasses via your retrograde Neptune in Sag.
By the way, transiting Pluto is also pulling off your Neptune's own rose-colored glasses at this time, so you may be seeing yourself in a more reflective light.
You only have two major planets above the horizon, the Moon and Venus, which speaks to me of a very inward-directed person, which is in contrast to a very public, outward driven profession like law. Both the Moon and Venus are in the 12th house, which may mean that emotionally you may be drawn to finding beauty, balance and harmony in very self-nurturing and self-actuallizing ways that are beyond the comprehension of your classmates and professors.
Again, if I am interpretting your name correctly, why did you choose law for a profession? Were you doing it for yourself or was it a family expectation (this is where the 4th house planets may be playing out along with Saturn in the 3rd which is conjunct with the IC) that you enter the legal profession? If it was your choice, is there other ways for you to find creative paths to working for justice without going to law school and becoming a lawyer? I do have a strong sense from your chart that you do want to work for bringing justice to others, it just may not be through being a lawyer.
BTW, as one Leo Sun to another (your ASC is exactly conjunct my Sun), it is alright to follow your star. Don't let others brow-beat you down to fit their expectations of what a woman should be. You can be intelligent and strong despite what others want. If it threatens them, it's their problem and projection. Be proud in your strength and in yourself.

aww elianah, you flatter me so! I don't think Im as brazen as my birth chart makes me out to be, but I think w/us Leos, we arent afraid to be who we are and we dont change for other people, which is verry true. You are really right about me going into law as some sort of parental expectation. There was alot of family pressure and I did succumb..Im already in law school so I should finish it...but it realllllly *****!!!
I think you're right about me seeing myself in a reflective light because I've come to realize alot of things about myself within the past few months.
One thing that you're very on point about is my ability to reflect and look inward. I find that w/most of my professors and fellow students, they are not introspective in the least bit..and I often wonder what kind of life that would be? I cant imagine it to be a fulfilling one.
One realization that I did come to within the past few months is that..I am strong and I am confident. I think Ive struggled w/that in the past and now Im learning to hold my head up high. It truly is a wonderful (and leonine) feeling.
Thanks for your input.

Hi Ihatelawschool!
When I looked at your chart, I too wondered if you were doing this because you wanted to -- your chart actually says you're kind of nice for doing the type of work you are undertaking! I think you can do it, but I think you'll get the most satisfaction from it by choosing a particular line of law that utilizes your own personality -- you are kind of warm and cuddly instead of mean, I think.
With Venus on your Ascendant, you might be a great singer! You approaching life in a loving and fun-loving way -- also dramatic, since this is in Leo, and your Leo Sun is in your first house. You've got the skills for performance -- in the courtroom or someplace else.
Your Midheaven (career indicator) is in Aries (brassy, courageous), and your Midheaven ruler -- Mars -- conjuncts the planet of adventure, higher learning, boundaries, rules and law -- Jupiter. So there is some inclination torwards the areas a lawyer needs.
Your Mars -- which rules the 1st (Aries) house and your (Aries) Midheaven -- is in Scorpio in the 4th house. I would take this to mean, you are most at ease in asserting yourself (mars) or fighting (Mars) with people with whom you have an intimate relationship or family members. Scorpio is a water sign, and although Scorpio can be mean, it is still basically a water sign, which is fragile and gets hurt easily.
Here are some suggestions for areas of law that might interest you.
1. Watch "Judging Amy" and think about child advocacy positions.
2. You could become an expert at human resources and work for a corporation, informing people about their coverages, etc.
3. You could become a Guardian Ad Litum, where you are a courtroom advocate for a child. For regular people, this is a volunteer position, but in my state, attorneys are paid to do this work.
With your 12th house Cancer Moon, conjunct your 12th house Cancer North Node, you are motherly and compassionate and concerned about helping others even when you don't get credit for it, or applause. This might explain why you are quiet when people first meet you instead of being Leo-like. (You mentioned in an earlier post that your rising sign is Cancer, but according to the posted chart, that would be in error -- it is in Leo.)
One other thing --
Your Aries Midheaven tightly opposes Saturn and Pluto, both in Libra, and I would think this would make you want to be tactful. You would shape your career around control by slicing people up (Pluto) or just shutting them off like a water faucet (Saturn).
As an earlier post mentioned, with so few planets in your last six houses, you lean toward the world of personal experiences, rather than public ones. I would think there's some tendency there toward taking your ball and bat and going home if things don't go the way you want them to, instead of staying and fighting.
I'd suggest you get some professional career counseling before pushing yourself to go through law school with no happy ending in sight. You'll probably uncover a career goal that merges your parents' wish for you to get a law degree and your own personality.
Nobody should have, as their identity, " I hate -- xxx" anything. Advocate for yourself, and then you can better advocate for others!

c jayne-you're quite good., described me as if you were someone who knew me for a long time and like someone who has seen me in many different circumstances..it was a little freaky actually!! I used to input 3:30 as my birth time and I was confused as to which ascendant fit me better because Cancer seemed to fit me as an ascendant better, but I can see why Im slightly introverted. You are most accurate about my tendency to just be assertive with people i feel comfortable around-my family members and significant others. Since my aggressive planets are all in the fourth house, is that why I'm like that? I'm guessing that is what you are saying. I will take your advice about the job positions....oddly enough, I am interviewing for the child advocacy clinic at my school on Wed! That matches your first suggestion for me!! That is such an odd coincidence...it is definitely a sign of some sort. Your post was very insightful and has been immensely helpful.
and one thing you are off about-my singing voice is atrocious, ask anyone who has heard me singing in the shower!! haha, but i definitely do have a dramatic flair.
and when I interview at the child ad clinic, Im sureI will mention you!
Supervisor: so why do you want this position
Me: welll, a fellow member on an astrology forum seems to know wat she is talking about and suggested that I use my legal skills to help people, namely children. Its in the stars, i tell ya!!
That will definitely get me the position =)

If only I could figure out how to make money doing this stuff!
(Go to my chart -- see link, below. You'll see that I also have Mars in a water sign in the 4th house. For that matter, my Moon also conjuncts, perfectly, your Midheaven. But, anyway, that Mars stuff is difficult, isn't it? Fighting with someone for us is just so INTIMATE!
thanks for the praise. :)
