If a planet is in anothers terms ie Saturn in 10 degrees virgo in venus terms and face, does that imply saturn is at venus mercy as it is visiting venus' place or the other way around? Or another example if the moon at 29 degrees aries is in terms of saturn is it ivisiting saturn there fore at saturns place having to cowtow:) to saturn. I read the dignities and debiliites as visiting dignataries and this seems to be the only way I can get a handle on it. Too if say the sun is at 28 degrees and in leo where it is exalted but it is also in anothers terms ie mars does that play a role?

Hi cassanra
It took me a while to get this stuff down too. Saturn at 10 Virgo is indeed in the terms and face of Venus. This means that Saturn quite likes Venus...definitely has warm regard for Venus, so you could say that Venus has some power over Saturn since Saturn likes Venus. It says absolutely nothing about how Venus feels about Saturn. For that, you'd have to look up Venus' placement.
Or, for another example, Mars in Libra. Mars in Libra exalts Saturn and is in the triplicity of Saturn. Wow. Mars worships the ground that Saturn walks on...you could say that Saturn definitely then has some power over Mars.
It's just remembering how the reception table works. Look up the sign the planet is in, and then go across the list.
Look up Saturn in Virgo....so look at virgo...any planet in Virgo is going to love Mercury, cause mercury is listed under rulership...then also exalt mercury, cause its listed under exaltation...and so on....until you get to detriment....you see that any planet in virgo is going to hate jupiter, cause jupiter is listed under detriment. Saturn in virgo wants to bomb Jupiter off the face of the earth. you get my drift......:p
hope that helps

How does that affect your interpretation? Do you give one planet more weight over the other?

In horary it can make the difference between whether the something will happen or not and or how it will happen. In natal it can add or detract from a planets strength in the chart.
