View Full Version : Strange Chart for Moving

I cast a horary chart asking "Should I move to Olympia, WA?" (as opposed to a different location.)

I really wanted to cast a chart for this question because I did one a while back before moving to Austin and overlooked significator in Node's degree and my life has effectively unraveled quite a bit since moving here.

This chart is a little weird. First, my significator and that of residence (Saturn, 4th in Cap) are on the 12th cusp. I liked that the higher education sig and residence were conjoined, because I would be moving there for school, but then the aspect from me to Saturn is separating. That's fine but the 12th house thing is still unnerving. Then the Moon is completely unaspected (not to mention the Sun and Mars). The only aspect is to the Asc (Asc is also squ Jup). Which, from what I've been told, can only be aspected, not vice versa. Jupiter does trine those three in Virgo, but he's Rx (I do like that he's in my house of residence though, since he brings travel, but what would the Rx mean in that interpretation? Lack of travel? Going back somewhere? Could it have anything to do with the fact that I just moved here, and am choosing to move my residence again?)

Venus (me) is unfortunate in Virgo, of course, but in as good a position in that as it could be, in it's own terms, face, and of course triplicity. Mercury and Venus are in each other's dignities and Saturn is split between the two.

There's a lot of interaction between these planets which seems positive, and no planets are interfering with challenging aspects, but with a lonely Moon (however tight that trine my be to Asc) and the 12th house situation, I'm not sure how to see this.

Hi Shannon, I think you want to leave your recent place and move to the next. The placement of both in the 12th house could maybe mean that your house is isolated, standing alone somehow or you are feeling too lonely where you are, to far away from civilization maybe. Venus is moving away from Saturn, your recent home and moves towards Mars who signifies Olympia I take it. However, Venus will not reach Mars in time and you therefore will not get (for some reason) to this region.

Moon makes an inconjunct to Venus. It is indeed the only aspect Moon makes before leaving her sign. Probably this means that certain things are not really in place and need to be adjusted. If you would not consider this aspect, then the answer would be NO, nothing will come of you, moving to Olympia.

End of the Matter house, ruled by a retrograde Jupiter probably shows that either you are thinking things over still or that you will retreat from the idea of moving. Retrograde usually means breaking a promise or going back to where you were, thinking things over or in a missing object or person .question, that the object or person could come back, will be found.

As I see it, something is about to change in Olympia because Mars is about to move into a new sign where he will be in his detriment. This does not look nice at all. I dont think you should move to that place as it will probably not be as promising as you initially thought.
I think you will leave the place you are living right now at some time, but not to go to Olympia.

Please let me know if this will be the case, for learning purposes.

Man! See, I recently joined the "skeptic" community, and felt obliged to give up my lifelong-held beliefs in astrology (the only "superstitious" thing I believed in), but it's things like this that make it nearly impossible for me.

The new plan makes perfect sense with this chart - I will go back to Tulsa (my prior home - Rx Jup on 4th cusp seemed to predict this) while I sort out my finances so that I can go to school during that time (still have residency). This chart certainly laid it out pretty well, and you were right! Olympia is something I'm still planning for, but not for a bit.

Thanks Shannon, always good to get an update!
Good luck to you and please stay as "superstitious" as you can when it comes to astrology LOL!:)
