Month-by-month forecasts using a solar return

Just wondering, does anyone have experience with the following forecasting technique?

One has natal (and therefore SR) Sun at 10'05 Libra, for example. Then she uses it as a starting point, and makes charts for the exact moments Sun hits 10'05 Scorpio, then 10'05 Sag, then 10'05 Cap, etc., thus she has a chart for every month. I don't know what this technique is called but seems quite interesting to me. I tried it with my latest solar return, and for July it had Mercury, Lord of 9th in 9th and this month was all about traveling and study for me...

If you have SolarFire you can select "Adavanced & Ingressed" then click on "Options" then highlite the Sun and use the harmonics, with 1 being your birth month and incrementing it will be for each month after.

I'm sorry to say I have no experience with this technique, but my understanding is that it allows you to glean a little more.

The technique I use is to progress the cusps. You follow?

Your Solar Return is basically transits. You keep the planets fixed and progress the cusps around the chart. The down-side is there's no software, so you have to do it by hand and you need something like Koch's Table of Houses.

Your MC will move about 90 degrees per year (maybe a little slower or faster). Take your new degree of the MC then find that in the tables and construct new house cusps. You can use the IC to help you narrow down the times.

When the progressed Solar Return 7th House cusp conjuncts Venus, it usually indicates marriage (it did for me) and the progressed 8th House cusp when conjuncting certain planets can indicate a death in the family (it did for me).

By counting the number of degrees the MC moves and multiplying by 4 then adding that to your Solar Return date, you can get the timing to withing a few days either way.
