Hi everyone.
It's finally time for me to embarck upon a real career, which is something I have put on the back burner while I explored my many divergent fascinations, and I'm coming to the forum for help.
I am considering going back to school but am still ihaving trouble breaking the bonds of indecision. I am very talented and capable of succeeding almost anywhere, but not being able to decide on which basket to put my eggs into.
My professional interests are many:
community development
social/environmental/ activism
art education and art
graphics design
ecological architecture/sustainable design
counselling psychology
research/writing
I am talented with:
writing, envisioning positive change, visual arts, attaining goals once they are set, graphics, organizing, intellectual theorizing, organizing big groups of people, retaining facts and focusing my mind, public speaking, attracting attention, inspiring others with my enthusiasm, organizing and disseminating ideas, working compassionately with troubled populations, integrating with authority
Seems like Aries/Aquarius/Pluto working well for me internally, but Neptune just fizzles these things out and my focus and drive just dissolve as soon as I even THINK about having a real career. This placement has been good for spiritual pusuits, but as far as material survival goes, Neptune acts rather antagonisticly to what I would hope to attain.
Intellectual stimulation and autonomy are critical to me, and a position where I can innovate seems best. I need to feel like a respected individual with liberties in any place I work. If I do not have this, I stray in a negative direction and my insecurities become enahanced. In the past I have shirked social institutions and formal establishments because I feel they oppress me, but I'm willing to work with the system more now than I ever have been. Over the course of a few years, I have been integrating my dislike for Saturnine things and have been sufficiently been broken into accepting American capitalism as it is. To me this feels like "giving up", but I know I needed to get more flexible in order to be functional in society.
After viewing my chart, do any forum members have any idea about what might be the best avenue for me to pursue? New suggestions for a grounded career based on my chart would be well recieved.
Thanks y'all :D
