In determining the dignity of a planet, how strict is the idea that you should assign points for a sextile or conjunction only if it is partile?
I'm referring to Skyscripts' "Lilly's Table to Examine the Strength & Debility of Each Planet" in which it clearly states the planet should recieve 5 points for a partile aspect to Jupiter or Venus, but I have heard people talk about aspects to Venus and Jupiter being beneficial and a planet being "dignified by aspect" without it necessarily being partile.
So if an aspect wasn't partile, would you award the points anyway?
