hi..
Could someone help me understand these

1. if a plannet is in anothers face..
does that mean its before the other plannet and is it a good place to be in.

2. I was reading some of lillys works and he uses S Node in horay, do many of yous?

3. if a plannet is in its fall.. does that mean that say (sag in 5th H) as sag is normally placed higher in the 9th H is in its fall?

thankyou if someone here can help me with this.:)

The Faces are a type of essential dignity. They are also called decanates. Each sign is divided into three Faces of 10 degrees each, and each Face is assigned to a planet. If a planet is in its own Face it has essential dignity and is not peregrine, but this is a weak dignity. You will find the table of essential dignities in Lilly's book if you have it.

If a planet is in the sign of its fall, it is very weak and cannot do much. This also can be found in the table. Right now Jupiter is in its fall and keeps showing up as a significator in horary charts I do. This is not helpful.

Lilly considered the South Node very malefic with any planet in a horary chart. I watch out for it.

Hello DiDi, Culpeper covered the essentials . I can only add that, when you ask:

if a plannet is in its fall.. does that mean that say (sag in 5th H) as sag is normally placed higher in the 9th H is in its fall?

that a planet is not in its fall in a house, but only in a sign. A planet in horary can be in his own house of JOY (also found in your book and in the tutoring lessons from Skyscript btw.), and therefore be better placed there, but it can only be in fall or in detriment in a certain sign like: when Venus is in the sign opposite his own sign (detriment, the opposite from Libra) or in a sign where her qualities cannot have expression, like Venus in Virgo.

I always look at NN and SN. The first is positive, the other negative when conjuncting a planet. When it does not aspect a planet, then the house it is found is either giving positive or negative influence in the chart.

In answering you (for Culpeper):

jupiter in its fall ... meaning its under its righful position in the chart?

I dont know exactly what you mean by this, but lets say if Jupiter is found in the 9th house, he is in a rightful position by house of course, but if he is there in Capricorn, he is still very much weakened by being in fall in Capricorn and even worse, by being retrograde. So his position in the 9th does not really help him there. Is this what you meant?
In each question you will indeed see this Jupiter at the moment. But not in all questions is he ruler of the Quisitor or Quisited, so if he does not represent anything significant in a chart, just ignore him.
Always only look at the relevant planets.
