Yeah, Zeitgest made me realize religion is a piece of ******** and made me more athiest. It also implys why christianity is against Astrology, cuz astrology holds the truth in everything, Anyways. Great documentary.

i dont feel like payin for a report just yet. Then don't, you don't need to pay some other astrologer when you could learn the stuff yourself; I didn't.
Yeah the Zeitgeist movie blew me away--- luckily we have YouTube so it's distribution is extremely easy. I don't know where we might have seen something so controversial 20 yrs ago....

Dammit, I want to see this!!!
I might just let it load all day long....then watch it......that's what it would take with 56K.
Someone told me about this movie a few weeks back, and I've been looking it over, and seeing just how many people liked it.
I'll have to get too it.
IT would be cool if they had a transcript somewhere.......
Internet video and 56K don't exactly lie hand in hand.

I've only just watched Zeitgeist - around 3-4 weeks ago, and I found it to be incredible, particularly the 1st section about religion.
A friend of mine (who is a staunch Christian) told me years ago that she was accepting of the 3 Wise Men being astrologers, after all, they were (supposedly) following a star, and in those days all the wise/educated people had a good grasp of mathematics, and with it, astrology.
The bit of Zeitgeist which really blew me away was the astrological explanation of the `rising from the dead after 3 days'. Pow!!

One of the things that really shocked me (amongst many in the film) was the obvious connection between the stories about Christ and previous myths in Egypt. That was a real eye opener.
And the 9/11 thing too. Those explosions in the building, filmed *before* the plane's hit...... The evidence that it was a controlled implosion, all that shocked me no end.

Don't underestimate the power of suggestion. :)
I'm skeptical about these things, mostly because of the lack of "proof", "proof" being traded in with suggestion and plausible alternative explanations .. I'd never trade in all my years of carefully perfected beliefs over a simple movie.. one man's opinion. I'm skeptical about movies that claim to be the end all, be-all.

I havn't seen it all yet, but I have read others say the same.
Some people are just using it as their next bible.
I read a transcript, parts of it, some data is interesting, but it is presented in a movie fast, sometimes with ready made interpretations.
I do look over some of the facts, and even those I have to laugh at sometimes.
Like the quotes of some certain individuals, etc. How do you know it is not out of context, just what the author wants to see and make up himself.
I'm undecided, but I won't be Zeitgernaut either....
I know a few, just met one, it's odd how stupid some people are, they believe everything, they even need them.
Why?
Don't know...like they sleep better at night if they have a dark sheet over their eyes....
Tehy need something to believe in, a leader, something to follow, subscribe too, and then a scene to do it in, to belong, to be accepted.
It's hard to stay active minded, think for yourself....especially when confronted with groups with belief systems. you can't dissagree, or they pummel you with information, I just need time to look at things for myself sometimes...make up my own mind...I won't just blindly accept things, and it's why I don't always like the movie form..
I'd be pissed if there was the errie music that is supposed to shock me.
I don't want to be shocked, I want the info, or the data, and even it's counter data...I don't want to join a movement or lead a movement.
I like that information get out there, and sometimes it has to get out a certain way...sort of sold, like, what they don't wnat ou to know, and maybe, and maybe not...but the fact that it can be out there, and seen, legally, nobody loosing their head over it, at least publicly, I value that.
I always take my time with this stuff.
idn't much lik the asctrology stuff...I even read of some who had their own reasons for not agreeing with the astrlogical data and they had some other refferences too.
so....it's al lsomething worth looking over but I'd like to stay off any bandwagon.

I'd rather stay away from any bibles, old and new. :D
I'm aware that the movie has some weak spots. Of course I don't mean to say I believe 100% in it (that part about the chips, that one is really badly construed in my opinion, with a guy who heard a guy who heard a guy say this and that.... nah!).
I think it's interesting food for thought, but you don't have to eat it all. I took what resonated and left the rest.

Actually, the chips are real and have been approved. It's called Verichip and RFID for short. I know I haven't gotten to astrological charts of certain events. But check my post on this for the verification of the reality of these chips which will be enforced by 2011.

I doubt it coming to pass.. America, Sagittarius governed loves it's freedom. It would take lots of media manipulation, and the media I doubt would side with it, the media likes to side with 'the people'.
The chip itself feels like a violation to the constitution. They should make an amendment against any mandatory implication of it, if one wants a chip, it should only be because they want to and are aware of the risks!

Interesting website on spy chips.
http://www.spychips.com/
I don't want one.
Would anyone here want one?
I think if I fought for one thing, it would be so I would not have to be chipped.
Some states have actually put laws on the books against this.
I thought this an interesting link.

I see a man who refuses to pay income tax (even though there is no law that says he has to) go to jail.
I see a country who believed there was an organisation called "Al Quaeda" - oh yeah, and the country went to war!
Freedom? LOL what a god **** joke that it!

Yeah, I know about the chips, and I know some people believe the chips will be forced down people's throats, but that's not possible, imo. I don't see it happening. Yes, the idea of microchipping people exists and is functioning, but I don't believe it can be enforced. It can only be sold. Capitalism is about providing an illusion of freedom, so I don't think there will be enforced chipping since it would provoke a very negative reaction to it.
What might happen is some people will want the chip, it may be sold as if it improves freedom, not the other way around, etc, but, it is the same about all sorts of commodities, you can buy them or not. They might bombard you with advertisement to make you really crave for the chip, but you just have to not get one.
Now, maybe you have already watched it, but I'll recommend it anyway. A good film about the present world order, without conspiracy theories, just facts posed in a very interesting light, is Surplus - Terrorized into Being Consumers. It's very musical, don't expect a traditional documentary, the editing makes it all work like an enormous videoclip, but a very very good one. I highly recommend it. :)

I hear you Rockfish but a few years ago everyone said exactly the same thing about Vaccinations and look what happened!!!
Vaccinations are a legal requirement and mothers are consistently being sent to PRISON for not complying.
I see no difference between vaccinations and micro-chipping so prepare to eat your words.

And people believed in the Y2K catastrophe. And nothin happened. :D
Of course there's a difference between vaccinations, and micro-chipping. Chemical changes and a permanent monitoring device are extremely different, as different as their side effects. I can tell the nation as a whole would never approve of it. It would have to go through a lot of litigation first, before it was federally mandatory.. and then.. there are 50 states that can say, we don't care, we're not making this mandatory in this state.
Right now, theres no proof it will happen, and no proof it ain't gonna happen.. so pretty pointless debating it.

Nevertheless, they're *not* the same.
You really don't have proof of that, so I don't see why I need to even consider it.
