View Full Version : Really sad... extremely difficult chart?

I have been getting the feeling since I have been involved with the study of astrology (going on almost 12 years now... since I was 10) that my chart is extremely difficult and almost hopeless. This could be my abundance of capricorn talking but could someone please look at my chart and note some of the positives in my life... things I should take advantage of, talents... etc.
Any help would lift my spirits considerably.

You have
1. an emphasis on relationship in your life with your luminaries in opposition and your Sun in the seventh house
2. Very Strong public persona with Pluto conjunct your midheaven – people will see you as powerful
3. A Pluto Mercury – your mind is able to delve into the more obscure than others – powerful ability of the mind. Can tend to see the more darker side at first but can make huge changes when you need to. Powerful mental discipiline when needed. A great interlect
4. Pluto Sun is again a powerful aspect but we can feel that we must hide our real selves – As we mature & grow into our sun we can integrate this power into us for positive purpose
5. Neptune conjunct the Sun can feel as if we are more visible in our personality projection than we wish to be and may feel an issue of leaky boundaries between ourselves & others when we present to the world – particular a first or new contact. But as we become more integrated to our sun we can support our persona (ascendant)
Neptune in the 12th tho has great 'feelers' of instinct.
Listen to your inner bell and you will be OK
6. You have some nice trines which I have not discussed but can be accessed to give joy to our lives.
7. I think you have a powerful & insightful & interlectual chart which holds great potential

I don't know if this is going to lift your spirits or not. Whenever I hear someone who's really down, I suspect a strong spiritual side that has the most difficult time in the material world. I ran the vedic siddhamsha, and vidhamsha (varga spirituality charts,) to see. Lo and Behold... there it is. You've a strong spirit.
You suffer from Divine Discontent. This is seen in your western chart with Neptune conjunct the Ascendent. Nothing of this world ever satisfied Divine Discontent. Only inner communion will do.

I don't know if this speaks to you or not. But it's been my experience that Neptune won't give in with the angst thing until the spiritual path is taken.

Hi Teddi,
No, you don't have a difficult chart at all, although you have some challenging aspects. If you want to see a difficult chart, I'll show you Mr. Archergirl's.:D
You do have a plethora of retrograde planets; this makes you a slightly deeper thinker than many, more aligned to seeing the subtleties that other people miss.
With Neptune on the Ascendant, you're going to *have* to make sure you have some very objective friends, as you will tend to see only the rosy side of things. I hope to goodness you don't do drugs or drink...this is a classic aspect for a druggie/alcoholic. Whatever you do, don't!
Pluto at the midheaven is a very powerful aspect to have. My daughter has this; and at the age of six she is already showing signs of the powerhouse she will be as an adult. Like you, she also has a 7th house Sun; so relationships and the interface between public and private might sometimes blur. Use this power wisely; this is the sign of someone living in a fishbowl, and you must live your life like you are being pursued by paparazzi. Everything you do will be up for scrutiny from others; you will draw many people to you; you will repel many more. So live, as best you can, with utter integrity; those times that you don't will come back and bite your ar:mad: e in a big, definitely public, way. Because Pluto squares your Sun, power and control issues will always be..er..an issue (I have this aspect, too).
But extremely difficult chart? Pshaw, no way. You have a nice, even chart; planets nicely spread about, no huge stelliums to give you *specific* issues you have to work out. This is a good, strong, 'generalist' chart; by this I mean that you have more choice than do people with stelliums, who are compelled to 'do' those stelliums over and over again. You can pick which aspects of yours you want to work on. You probably have a strong personality and a will of steel, and as long as you stay aware of a tendency to want to dominate (or be dominated;) ) and a tendency to moodiness (Mars/Moon in the 1st) and dreamy-eyed unreality (Neptune/Asc), you'll be just fine! Believe me, I've seen a LOT worse as far as charts go. Mr. Archergirl's, for example.
And look, you ARE having a Jupiter transit to your first house; so your moods, etc, are going to be magnified. Try to maintain some balance, and don't overdo yourself with anything. Good, hard, physical exercise will be an excellent choice for you your whole life, as you will probably have a tendency to have 'too much energy' for your own good. If you try to hold it in it might actually make you ill or accident-prone (Mars is good for being accident prone; I have this aspect, too!:P) Go blow it off on a long, fast run or bike ride instead.
Cheers,
AG:)

You have your Sun trine Jupiter (which is in the second). What's so difficult about that? Common now!

Hey, you look like a lovely person :) I have a real soft spot for Cancerians. Your chart has some similarities with mine, Pluto near the MC (mines in 9th), Mars in the 1st house, and Neptune conjunct Ascendant.
I've only skimmed through this thread, sorry if I repeat anything anyone else has said. :)
Absolutely nothing wrong with Cappy energies, they keep you grounded, you might need to be with Neptune just there. Neptune may lead you also to absorb everything around you, absorb everyone else's energies, moods whether positive or negative. I found it helpful to meditate and do yoga, this can help keep you grounded and remember who you are whilst surrounded with everyone elses energies.
All the best

difficult and what may be causing the depressed feeling could be Saturn Venus square, and Moon in Capricorn, those are hard to bear, especially a gentle Cancer soul. Are you lonely, Saturn in 11th could lead to this, and in turn leave those who long for relationships(sun in 7th) unfulfilled
6 retrograde planets you have can add more negative points to this chart. more confusion and all those need 'fixing' in their functions.
Maybe we can never be fully objective when looking at our own charts, I know I often see what I want to see at that moment. But there is no difficult or easy chart, all are in between. Your's has very good and also bad aspects, but overall, it can be very good if you work on it. It is very complex, no doubts about that.
Sun trine Saturn and Jupiter are both very good.
As for talents and goals, maybe look at the NN, since it says where you should be going this lifetime. Aries, 3rd, squared from both luminaries, may signify intense inner battle to achieve self-awareness and communication. Try finding a descriptions for NN in Aries and NN in 3rd and combine those two.
Cardinal mode prevails, I think eventually you will have the strenght to find your way.

Hi Teddi,
We share quite a few common planetary positions:
Cap - Moon (Moon is in detriment in Cap, and can be a bit too serious & drawn to melancholy);
Cap - Mars (could block energies, but also helps to channelise energies properly like to achieve a specific goal, and they don't get 'scattered' as they could say in Aries)
Personal Planets in 7: you have Sun - so that makes you very partner/ people oriented; I have my Venus in 7
Saturn in 11: can also cause loneliness, as Sat in 11 can result in the native having a limited/ restricted social life, few friends (usually older friends).
Can you relate to any of the above?
However, you have some nice trines, and that Pluto as the highest planet in your chart, conj MC will get you a lot of power some day ;). Actually, on the whole, you have a pretty nice and even chart, so cheer up

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who responded to my post. I was feeling EXTREMELY gloomy and have been going through some huge deep-seated emotional transitions, and the things which were shared with me here really gave me some food for thought and some great stuff to work with in therapy.
It meant a great deal to me and thanks again to all of you. I tend to really focus on the negative so when people give me constructive feedback on who I am it really gives me something to work with.
This is a great community. Thank-you!
Modcleopatra, no no no. You're rounding the final bend in the road with a transit of saturn conjunct venus in the 8th house. This is the last of it this month. The world has felt like a stingey place to you since late last august early september of '07. You've probably been having those old childhood feelings of having things taken from you in an inconsiderate manner with your natal venus/saturn square. That can make you feel quite unhugged.
But guess whut? It is just about over, besides, you have many fine aspects to outlet those feelings from your natal chart so you are not boxed in to unhugged in your life.
Besides, you do have neptune in the 12th near the asc which is good for making your dreams (nep) real (capricorn) and bringing them down to earth.
Especially you have a powerful emotional nature (quite well aspected all around) to manifest your vision.
Re the divine discontent, I think you can handle it.
You'll probably find yourself a cuddly bear of a guy and a strong long marriage.
Almost forgot. Saturn squaring saturn (almost over this month) feels like your life and what you currently have to live with is just a weird, uncomfortable fit and your friends aren't helping much either (11th house natal saturn) from the house of "love received". So you may have a couple of lifelong friends because I doubt you're into the collecting of superficial acquaintances. Those aren't the kind of people you're interested in anyway, right?
Good to see you back on the forum, Teddi.
I thought your thread on the "Liz Greene" issue was very thought provoking - and I've been looking forward to seeing more threads from you since then.
Don't know what the astrology indicates - but your posts show originality, individuality, courage and honesty.

It's sad that being 'broken' is somehow attractive today.
Listen to people who have really had it hard. They aren't smiling.

Maybe not at that moment, but after all, they will be the ones who smile with whole, wide open heart, when they do. :)

Exactly. That's a fundamental truth actually. When your heart is broken it's broken open. That softens a person leaving them open to deeper truths.
It's profound, it's not corney.;)

It's not corney, but it's not romantic either. That's another trap.
This girl needs to learn how to play sports, or she'll never be happy.

Hey
I dont think playing sports necessarily, as it is to be competitive at something....pluto at the MC and mars in the first can make this one quite passionate about winning and being ahead....
That pluto aspect is great! However getting over the square between pluto, sun and the MC needs some work....
I think it is more of a self-esteem on the inside issue, finding something she is good at, passionate at, that will build on the pluto conjunct the MC area....
I think that this chart has all of the inner workings of a very spiritual person, with a lot of depth....
Diving deep whereas others just skim the surface of life....
I would rather dive deep and feel the suffering and to also feel the joys of life; intense, rather than feel a bit of nothing.....
You know what they say:
"If you're not good at sports, you're not good in bed!"
You know what they say:
"If you're not good at sports, you're not good in bed!"
Doesn't seem to work the other around unfortunately, as I've always been good at sports.

I enjoyed your Liz Greene thread too, ModCleopatra.
I don't see why your chart should be seen as showing a sad life. You have a full moon in your chart which further squares the nodal axis, in the 1st-7th Houses, so there may be a strong theme of constantly having to balance two strong polarities in your nature, or of finding yourself through others/partnerships, defining yourself through self and partnerships. But that is just a theme, rather than something wring or bad in itself. Maybe too, there s another theme of looking for self-sufficiency as opposed to nuturing and being nurtured. I do not like to pontificate on nodal lessons etc, bt it could be that as regards background and family, there may be a desire to eel the continuation of roots, hilt not being unduly defined by them and setting your own precedents too.
Two transpersonal planets on the angles, Neptune and Pluto, may well also indicate that an overly two-dimensional life of work and consuming may not be enough for you, so that may mean that the spiritual side of life will mater to you. Pluto on the MC may mean upheavals in your life - but also the ability to start over from scratch, if ncessary. Pluto square Mercury, along with Moon-Mars in Capricorn may indicate that you could in some circumstances, turn negative thoughts and feelings against yourself -. you need to find ways to express your truths, grudges and issues in ways that neither allow things to fester, nor leave rom for guilty feelings afterwards.
The other posible point of vulnerability may be due to Neptune being in Capricorn - may be wrong, but I suspect that this position, especially where angular or conjunct a lot of personal planets, can indicate the desire to make dreams and visions manifest - but may also be easily disillusioned. The best clure forthat, with the Moon-Mars could then be to keep active and to resist 'why bother?' feelings.

Looks like a pretty good chart to me Cleopatra. I know what Mars in the first is like, and Merury trine Saturn too. It is really quite a powerful chart where expression of personality is an emphasis. I reckon it takes some time to "drive" ones chart like it really fits.
Astrology has been one great 'device' that I have used to understand myself over the years. At times I have hated my chart and groaned over a seemingly endless run of terrible solar return charts.
