I have been trying to detemine which has a stronger influence on daily events and our personal lives: a natal chart, the current position of planets and astrial bodies, or is it the combination of both?

As much as we would all like to win the "lottery" (very few succeed) which factor, would influence someone's chance to win financial reward: the position of the planets with respect to the natal chart at the time of ticket purchase or at the time of the drawing?

I have read and understand my natal chart (it was and remains dead on - about 98% correct) but I am trying to discover the meaning of the relationship between the natal positions versus current positions i.e. Uranus trine Uranus. The natal chart appears to act as a sort of road map while the current positions of the planets tend to act as street signs and traffic signals. Any reading suggestions?

Thanks.

The natal chart shows potentials and the transits and progressions indicate the timing of such possibilities. For example, let's say the native has a Sun conjunct Venus in the third house in the natal chart. This would be a decent indication that a marriage for this native is a real possibility. To figure out when this would happen, look to the transits, solar return and progressed chart. Let's say that the tranists show Jupiter in the 11th house trining that third house combination and Venus in the 7th house also trining the combination. This seems favorable but it could just be a nice time with friends or even a promotion on the job. The progressed chart shows progressed Venus in the 4th house, almost exactly conjunct the natal Moon. Here is a better indication of not only a marriage, but a family soon after. Lastly, let's look at the solar return where Venus favorably trines the third house sun-venus conjunction and Saturn is applying to making a conjunction as well. That would pretty much seal the deal. You have to look at the natal chart for potentials and the other charts for the timing of such potentials. Of course it isn't always so clear cut.
